Well it's been a long while, but The Passengers is soldiering on. We're incredibly behind schedule (which we optimistically feel makes this production even more authentic), but we're finalizing the sound design and piecing together the montages and should hopefully have it done very soon.

In other, more fantastic news, we're in talks with some financers to turn the film into a feature hopefully in late fall.

more photos for your viewing pleasure

-Jess

Photos finally here!

Check it...the shoots have been so much fun, a blast really. No better way to beat waking up early than to hang with these cool kids. The dudes seriously crack me up all day long and the chicks are just awesome. Been experimenting with lighting, getting it done with a killer sound man, getting some sweet kissing scenes (see photos) and just making it happen. I can't wait to shoot more scenes on Saturday.

Three Days of Shooting Down

Well, we've finished three days of principal photography. We shot in freezing rain and scorching sunlight and we came out the other side with hours of excellent footage and only a few sunburns.

I'd like to say that everyone involved has been wonderful, and I'd especially like to thank all of our crew publicly. It's really nice when you show up to shoot a film and people you've never met before go above and beyond what you ask of them to get things done and get things done well. So thanks everyone, and great job!

Audition Responses and Myspace

We posted ads in several locations on the web, put flyers up in a few locations around town, and have been spreading the info personally as well. So far, a day and an half later, the response has been phenomenal, and our email inbox is brimming with talent. The first wave of emails detailing the project and containing the reading material have been sent out, but if you haven't sent us an email yet, you've still got plenty of time before the auditions.

To everyone that has responded, thank you so much. Many of you linked us to your myspace for your headshots, but some of them are set to private, so we've created our own for the film. Please send us a friend request if you're interested in the film or you want us to be able to see your photos. The Passengers Film Myspace

This is a really exciting time for all of us on the production staff. We believe we've got a project with limitless potential in the right hands, and we plan to go far with this film. Thanks again, everyone.

Casting Call

The Passengers, a short, post-apocalyptic, existential drama, is casting on March 21st.

We're looking mostly for males between the ages of 22-33 for the lead role and females between the ages of 21-30 and 50-60 for smaller roles. If you fit one of these groups and are interested, please reply with your contact info, a headshot (if you have one), and any other relevant info.

We have a modest budget and cannot afford to pay our talent with but a finished product, free publicity, delicious catered food, talented and friendly film making contacts, and hopefully a successful festival run.
